    The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for leading selected projects, including research, selection, justification, startup, training, troubleshooting, and achieving target conditions.

    This role involves supporting the manufacturing team in meeting customer demand and ensuring the creation, correction, and interpretation of drawings, BOMs, routings, and transactions.

    Additionally, the Senior Manufacturing Engineer will provide direct supervision to the maintenance team and mentorship, development, and support to other Manufacturing Engineers.

    This position plays a vital role in improving business practices and enhancing processes within the manufacturing unit.

    The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will lead by example, promoting a positive culture, ensuring a safe work environment, and demonstrating honesty and respect towards others.

    Responsibilities

    Uphold and promote Senneca's Mission and Values while ensuring adherence to safety policies and procedures.

    Provide mentorship and support to Manufacturing Engineers.

    Supervise the maintenance associates directly.

    Identify, justify, and implement opportunities for make vs. buy decisions.


    Lead or assist in leading various manufacturing-related projects, including capital expenditures, product line transfers, lean improvements, and the ongoing robotic welding project.

    Requirements


    Bachelor's degree in Production Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience of ten (10) years in an engineering role within a manufacturing environment.

    Minimum five (5) years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, including 3D drawings, improvement projects, and capital projects.

    Proficiency in automation.

    Strong problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis and corrective action.

    Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional groups, such as engineering and sales.

    Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.


    Preferred Requirements:
    Expertise in 5S, waste elimination, and other lean principles.
    Proficiency in creating and utilizing 2D and 3D drawings using CAD and SolidWorks.
    Knowledge of ISO and AWS standards.
    Experience with ERP systems.
