As a Fire Extinguisher Technician, you are responsible for the sales, maintenance, and repair of fire extinguishers on existing customer routes as well as selling and teaching fire extinguisher training classes.

Also responsible for ensuring high levels of accuracy of these responsibilities and working in accordance with applicable national and local codes and standards.


In this role you will:


  • Perform inspection, testing, service, and repairs as required for all types of fire extinguishers as mandated by Standards and codes, manufactures requirements, and expectations and requirements of the company
  • Promote, sell, and secure new business and fire extinguisher training classes
  • Record and document all inspections, repairs, discrepancies, and recommendations
  • Survey facilities for fire and safety needs and reference any requirements needed
  • Provide customer support in creating quotes, answering questions, laying out fire equipment needs and followup all jobs to assure customer satisfaction
  • Service and maintain company vehicle according to manufacturer's recommendations and company policy
  • Maintain clean and organized vehicle. Keep vehicle stocked with parts, equipment, and supplies necessary to perform the job
  • Ensure that all internal and external customers and coworkers receive outstanding service by providing a friendly environment
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures as well as local, state, and federal regulations and laws
  • Maintain punctual, regular, and predictable attendance
  • Work collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation

Requirements:


  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current California Fire Extinguisher Type 3 or Higher Certification
  • 1 years' experience in Fire Protection industry or other related industries such as construction, electronics, or sales distribution (preferred)
  • Working knowledge of National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) #10 Standards Servicing Guidelines and local authorities having jurisdiction (AHJ) requirements (preferred)
  • ICC/NAFED Fire Extinguishers Certification
