The success Manatts, Inc., enjoys today in the construction industry started 75 years ago. Back then, it was one man, one truck, and now our team of employees numbers more than 750 strong. We have dozens of ready-mix and asphalt production facilities around the state of Iowa. Our massive fleet of dump and ready-mix trucks serves thousands of job sites every year.

In addition, our concrete and asphalt paving divisions, along with our various other crews, complete hundreds of projects every season.

Our East Ready Mix Plant is hiring a Dispatch Specialist

SUMMARY

Supervises and coordinates efficiencies of truck demand engaged in delivering ready mix concrete to plant sites, job sites, and customers for profitable business production.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES.

___Schedules trucks and coordinates with all ready-mix plants in the area to ensure uninterrupted production flow on various projects.
___Receives all orders for truck requests.
___Coordinates work assignments with each plant.
___Supports and follows company safety policies and procedures.
___Communicates with plant managers on day-to-day schedule changes.
___Analyzes and adjusts for truck demand throughout the area plants.
___Communicates with plant managers on winter lay-off call ins.
___Determines workforce needs in the area.
___Reviews process and reports to maintain and enhance profitable operation of division.
___Involved with all system training.
___Communicates with the Business Analyst on support and system upgrades.
___Confers with management to evaluate and promote improved process services in areas.
___Commits to continuous personal improvements on the path towards being best self.
___Participates with management to set and adhere to personal goals in line with Manatt's core values.
___Assists and encourages all team members on their journey of continuous growth.
___Open minded and willingness to adapt to the technological changes in an evolving industry.
___Confers with customers and management to evaluate and promote improved process services in areas.
Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

___High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills
___Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.

Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small groups situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills
___Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage.
Reasoning Ability
___Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills
___Basic Computer Skills
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
___Current Class B CDL (Commercial Driver's License) with airbrake endorsement
___Current IDOT (Iowa Department of Transportation) Physical preferred.
___DOT Certifications AGG I/II, PCC I/II preferred.
