    Description

    Position: Driver Workforce Manager at Greyhound



    Key Responsibilities:
    • Daily interaction with the driver workforce.
    • Selects, trains and mentors the driver workforce.
    • Ensures all personnel have been trained and/or retrained according to operational procedures.
    • Follows up with new drivers on their performance regularly.
    • Reviews manpower needs and ensures proper coverage.
    • Ensures drivers' punctuality and adherence to uniform standards.
    • Provides ongoing feedback to drivers for development.
    • Investigates feedback on drivers and operational practices.
    • Plans future schedules and run changes.
    • Ensures compliance with safety standards and regulations.
    • Ensures drivers meet company standards in all areas.
    • Works on labor relations and handles harassment complaints.
    • Reviews DOT logs and works on operational execution.
    • Monitors real-time performance and reports on deviations.
    • Interviews and recommends driver candidates.
    • Determines appropriate discipline levels.
    • Resolves conflicts and complaints.
    • Executes termination of employment when necessary.
    • Provides customer service in the terminal as needed.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Minimum Education & Certifications Required:
    High school diploma or equivalent (required). Bachelor's degree (preferred).

    Work Experience:
    1-3 years in operations management.

    Skills:
    Must work with minimal supervision. Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Familiar with safety, workers compensation, labor relations, training, and interpersonal skills. Demonstrates diplomacy and discretion in relationships. Effective verbal and written communication skills.

    Physical Requirements:
    Ability to move between office environment and garage, use standard office equipment, and access filing systems.

    Working Conditions:
    Office environment with heating and cooling (75% of the time), some time outdoors exposed to elements or hazardous conditions.


    Travel:
    Minimal local and domestic trips requiring overnight stays.
