    Job Description
    Moen's Manager, Warehouse II is a 2nd shift leadership role managing many aspects of our Distribution Center. This Warehouse Operation services over 1 million customer orders and 5 million lines annually. Our Manager, Warehouse will establish and develop plans that support team development, continuous improvement and innovation. This position will also manage and develop processes that will ensure customer service, cost management, efficiency and accuracy.

    Safety & Training

    • Work with managers, supervisors, facility trainer to ensure proper and timely training of associates on company policies, safety programs, and job requirements.
    • Achieve world-class safety metrics in recordable incident rate and lost time incident rate. Provide work areas that promote positive ergonomic activity and focus on safety.
    • Ensure all rules and regulations of the facility are followed and all safety violations are reported documented; dispense appropriate disciplinary action and counseling.
    • Responsible to direct the maintenance of good housekeeping procedures, safe storage of product in all areas of the warehouse and maintenance of all material handling equipment

    Culture

    • Engage in open honest communications to encourage associate feedback and to increase employee engagement; actively support recognition and rewards programs to enhance the employee experience.
    • Provide effective associate relations within the team by ensuring that practices are fair and consistent and are in accordance with the Moen Operating Philosophy.
    • Ensure appropriate communications to inform associates about important business information and engage associates in the business.

    Leadership

    • Provide leadership, focus, direction, and coordination to 1 Salaried Supervisor, 4 Team Leaders, 2 Rims Coordinators and 100 plus Distribution Associates in a fully automated Distribution Center.
    • Provide leadership and resources to aggressively accomplish Moen's strategic initiative and operational process improvements. Support new business demands. Strategically plan processes and identify resources that lower value added costs and promote world class distribution operations.
    • Develops direct reports through a collaborative performance management process; performs annual evaluations and individual development plans.
    • Develops warehouse operations system improvements by analyzing process work flow, manning and space requirements, and equipment layout; implementing changes.

    Operations

    • Achieves warehouse operational objectives by contributing to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends.
    • Responsible for planning, coordination and managing functions and personnel to ensure utilization of the WMS & WCS to maintain cost effective operations and ensure customer satisfaction.
    • Refine and develop procedures to ensure continuous improvement in all aspects of the Distribution Center through 5S, Kaizen, and MOS processes.
    • Meets warehouse operations financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; staffing levels: scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
    • Develops warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements; developing, implementing, enforcing, and evaluating policies and procedures; developing processes for receiving product, equipment utilization, inventory management, and shipping.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelors degree in logistics or related field with an MBA preferred.
    • 5 years related experience in logistics or distribution management.
    • 3 years experience in managing and supervising front line leaders.
    • Demonstrated success in creating and sustaining a safe workplace.
    • Prior experience with Lean/TPS/5S principles and change management preferred.
    • Strong PC capabilities required to include managing and working within a Warehouse Management System (WMS) system.
    • SAP knowledge a plus. Ability to prioritize and organize responsibilities; ability to use key performance indicators and to hold others and self-accountable, create efficient work flow and utilize key performance indicators.
    • Previous experience in an automated distribution environment a plus.
    • Must be able to function within and lead cross functional teams.
    • Experience in warehouse slotting and layout warehouse a plus; experience with conveyor systems is a plus. Outstanding communication skills, both oral and written.
    • Knowledge of OSHA, EPA regulations.
