Description

The Controller directs the organization's financial planning and accounting practices as well as its relationship with lending institutions, shareholders, and the financial community by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate managers.

The Controller ensures that LS Energy Services has adequate financing at all times, provides overall financial direction and management to represent the LS Energy Services with its external constituencies, such as customers and regulatory agencies, and ensured the integrity of the LS Eneregy Services's financial reporting and compliance.


Specific responsibilities may include:

  • Ensure that LS Energy Services has adequate funding to successfully execute its operating plan.
  • Direct the overall financial operations of LS Energy Services including such things as budgeting, involvement in cost/price decisions as they relate to LS Energy Services.
  • Interact with the President and other senior managers to make decisions regarding the operational /financial direction of LS Energy Services.
  • Manage and oversee negotiations or other interactions either directly or indirectly with vendors, regulators, bankers, outside counsel, etc.
  • Oversee and direct treasury, budgeting, audit, tax, accounting, purchasing, real estate, and insurance activities for the organization.
  • Direct procedures and systems necessary to maintain proper records and to afford adequate accounting controls and services.
  • Monitors the organization's financial position and issues periodic financial and operating reports.
  • Coordinates the establishment of budget programs.
  • Analyze, consolidate, and direct all cost accounting procedures together with other statistical and routine reports.
  • Direct and analyzes studies of general economic, business, and financial conditions and their impact on the organization's policies and operations.
  • Support and participate in the organization's Continual Improvement Program.
  • Other duties as assigned.
1.1 EDUCATION AND TRAINING

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • CPA required.
1.2 EXPERIENCE

  • 10 to 15 years' related experience.
  • An experienced leader and financial executive with appropriate industry experience.
  • Experience in financial decisionmaking: determine allocation of limited financial resources.
Experience in operations decision-making

  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, procedures and systems.
  • Knowledge of financial regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Knowledge of managing an accounting department to meet reporting requirements.
  • Ability to communicate clearly.
  • Ability to read, interpret and comprehend technical and legal specifications, reports and procedures.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and certification authorities.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations where limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form

Pay:
$125, $155,000.00 per year
