Job Summary:
- Point of Contact/Lead on Career & Experiential Learning specialty
- Processing Financial Assistance Applications
- Developing, maintaining, and overseeing HSI student community/dialogue in CANVAS HUB
- Assigned to attend inperson sessions at HSI college sites
- Guide coaches and oversight on master lists for case management
Essential Functions:
Processing Financial Assistance Applications - 25%
Developing, maintaining, and overseeing HSI student community/dialogue in CANVAS HUB - 15%
Assigned to attend in-person sessions at HSI college sites -20%
Guide coaches and oversight on master lists for case management -10%
Other duties as assigned 5%
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate's Degree from a regionally accredited institution and two (2) years of student services or college teaching experience or experience assisting with educational program development and coordination, student advisement, financial aid, or related student development programs.
High School Diploma or GED and four (4) years of student services or college teaching experience or experience assisting with educational program development and coordination, student advisement, financial aid, or related student development programs.
Desired Qualifications:
A. Experience developing, coordinating, and/or participating in student support programs designed to promote student access, persistence, retention, and completion.
B. Experience developing and delivering presentations and responding to questions from students, parents,
employees, or the general public in one-on-one and group situations.
C. Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and abilities individually and in groups.
D. Experience working with student services systems including online Student Information System (e.g., PeopleSoft), or other-related systems
F. Experience working in a higher education setting
Special Working Conditions:
Will be required to travel or be assigned to all MCCCD HSI EXCELlence locations.
May require numerous evenings or weekends.
May require prolonged periods of viewing a computer screen.
Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.; work outside; drive utility cart and possession of a valid drivers license for the state of Arizona.
