- Performs a variety of duties to insure reliable, safe and efficient operation, maintenance and repair of equipment, facilities, and/or systems in areas which may include but not limited to Carpentry, Refrigeration /Air Conditioning, Plumbing, Electrical, Machine work, Painting, Locksmithing, General Maintenance, Utility Plant.
- Performs duties in new/renovation facilities projects as assigned.
- Performs duties of a Security Officer.
- Standing, walking, stooping/bending, finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking.
- Refer to the Security Officer job description for additional typical physical demands.
- Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.
- Subjected to noise/vibration from power hand tools required in area of assignment.
- Some exposure to electrical current, hazardous materials, fumes, and odors.
- Works a weekly rotating schedule and on-call schedule.
- Refer to the Security Officer job description for additional typical working conditions.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current State of Hawaii Guard Registration card.
- Valid U.S. Driver's License required in accordance with Hawaii state law rules and regulations.
- Driver's abstract or evidence of good driving record.
- Current BLS certification.
- State of Hawaii trade licensed preferred.
- Graduate of Trade or Vocational school in HVAC, Plumbing or Electrical;
- Five (5) years work experience in HVAC, Plumbing or Electrical.
