The prestigious New York Athletic Club located in Pelham Manor; NY is seeking for regular full-time
seasonal Launch Operators for the upcoming 2024 boating season.

The season commences from April-November.

The Launch Operator is responsible for the safe passage of members their families and guests to and from the floating docks.

They also assist the members in the fueling of boats, keeping fuel sale log, getting ice, correctly filling out "chits", keep garbage areas emptied and general policing of Yacht Club property.

The Launch Operator will report directly to the Waterfront Manager and will closely collaborate with the Yacht Club team.

A valid and current U

SCG License:

  • Have a positive attitude and be a team member
  • Perform other related duties, tasks, and responsibilities as required or apparent.
  • Be courteous, gracious, and helpful to members their families and guests
  • Assist members with heavy packages and supplies
  • Provide members with docking and undocking assistance
  • Be proactive in your position and anticipate member needs
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays
  • Have reliable transportation
  • The ability to work "hands on"
  • Oversee Opening and Closing Checklists

Qualifications and Experience:


  • Valid and current U.S.C.G. License
  • Valid NYS License
  • Boat handling in adverse conditions
  • General boat maintenance knowledge
  • Sense of Direction
  • Strong verbal and written skills

Physical Requirements:


While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk for extended periods of time, use hands and fingers, reach, climb, bend, twist, stoop, kneel, crouch, and lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

From $26.00 per hour


Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Weekends as needed

Experience:

- boating/USCG license: 3 years (preferred)
