Job Summary:


This role would also entail execution of the YouthSource scope of work, and the Trauma-Informed Youth Development initiative as instructed and directed by the organization with respect to administration and implementation of all youth development, prevention programming program development and executing all facets of scholarship opportunities for program participants.

This includes monitoring and evaluation of the programming, recruitment, administration of pre
- and post-assessments, publicity, and data collection.


The CCSC will conduct at a minimum monthly check-in with scholars, communicating with scholars about internships and career development opportunities, ensuring that updated grades are tracked, provide support to scholars if in need of supportive services, process scholars checks, plan a minimum of two events a year that will bring all the scholars together.

The CCSC can be creative in this space (this could be a luncheon, field trips, sporting event and other activities to support the scholars) to provide an impactful engagement.


Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Attend meetings, workshops, trainings and events
  • Meet key stakeholders, create and distribute publicity materials, deliver presentations, followup with stakeholders and manage referrals
  • Administer and submit pre, mid, and postassessments, assimilate, review, correct data and, as appropriate; present data results to key stakeholders
  • Advocate for the youth and ensure their receipt of culturally
- and age-appropriate trauma
- informed youth development services for themselves and their families. Work with the youth and their family to access necessary services and resources from Brotherhood Crusade and its collaborative partners (service providers)

  • Maintain and update, as necessary, youth development plan. Prepare and facilitate program schedules. Report all activity in a timely manner
  • Retrieve necessary documentation that provides, academic results, progress reports and surveys from the youth's school, parents, and social affiliations
  • Input observations, exercise results, notes, and other pertinent data into tracking system
  • Report issues, incidents, or problems to the youth's parents/caregivers and administration
  • Interact with the youth's school, parents/caregivers, and role models
  • As needed, make referrals to and receive referrals from collaborative partners
  • Prepare signin sheets for youth and collaborative partners for meetings or convenings
  • Work closely with collaborative partners in implementing our program and scholarship opportunities for program participants
  • Observe sessions between youth and collaborative partners
  • Ensure the safety of the youth at all times
  • Understand and comply with all of Brotherhood Crusade's childcare policies
  • Perform other related work as required
  • Serve as main Scholarship contact to assist scholars with questions, document collection, referrals, etc.
  • Meet with college scholars and facilitate monthly checkins to ensure scholars are on track to graduate and have the resources to succeed academically and address any life challenges that may occur.
  • Collect and analyze data regarding the college scholars
  • Ensure all data is uptodate, correct, and in a centralized location
  • Plan and coordinate all events for Advanced Studies students
  • Conduct outreach and provide education in the community to recruit potential scholarship applicants
  • Develop and maintain positive and professional relationships with staff at local colleges
  • Update and maintain program data base and hard files to track student information
  • Provide support to other Programs as needed
  • Provide meeting/event support (preparation, facilitation, minutes and/or reports) for Program Committee, Rising Tide Board, Advanced Studies Committee,
  • Encourage scholar's college experience through involvement in extracurricular opportunities on their college campus
  • Conduct academic action plans with scholars who are below a cumulative GPA of
  • Conduct home and college visits, as necessary
  • Attend college readiness workshops, webinars, or meetings as it relates to institutional updates.
  • Ensure all college scholars are engaged in Brotherhood Crusade programming.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Experienced in counseling students and preparing a plan to assist in shaping their future
  • Thorough knowledge of the wide career opportunities available in the job market
  • Establish, steward and hold excellent relationships with various college counselors
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with judgment making skills
  • Ability to determine students' interests, skills, and talents and recommend them a career wisely
  • Expert in working with MS Office suite and Internet
  • Skilled in maintaining database

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in a related field
  • Minimum of one year
