    Description

    Position Overview

    We are currently seeking an Environmental Specialist to oversee environmental management practices of a construction project. In this role, you will ensure compliance with legal and contractual environmental requirements while contributing to Kiewit's commitment to corporate social responsibility.

    Kiewit Power Delivery is a full-service engineering and construction solutions provider operating across North America. With extensive experience in transmission and distribution markets, we offer holistic solutions integrated with 135 years of construction and engineering expertise.

    Location

    This role is based at our project/regional office in Portland, OR, with travel required to job site locations in Vancouver, WA and Medford, OR.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead environmental compliance for the project
    • Identify, assess, and reduce environmental risks
    • Update environmental plans
    • Oversee field inspections and monitoring
    • Identify and protect wetland and sensitive environmental areas
    • Maintain project data tracking
    • Monitor and communicate environmental costs
    • Provide environmental training
    • Act as a technical advisor for environmental issues
    • Coordinate with relevant crews and clients

    Qualifications

    • Ability to travel and relocate
    • Undergraduate degree in environmental science or engineering
    • Experience with Federal, State, and County regulations
    • 2+ years managing design and construction environmental compliance
    • Knowledge of environmental legislation
    • Motivated and safety-oriented
    • Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity
    • Strong communication and organizational skills
    • Team player with ability to work independently
