About the Village of Great Neck
The Village of Great Neck is located in the northwest section of Nassau County, within the Great Neck peninsula.

The Village is one of many villages located on this peninsula, which is bounded on the west by Little Neck Bay, and on the east by Manhasset Bay.

The Village's present population is estimated at 11, U.S. Census estimate) and covers an area of approximately one and four tenths square miles.

A large percentage of the residents of this north shore community commute to New York City, which begins one and a half miles west of the western extremity of the Village.

Homes range in price between $750,000 and $1,500,000. Also, within and around the Village's periphery, there are a number of high-rent apartment houses.


Duties of Village Deputy Treasurer:

The duties of the Deputy Treasurer include, but are not limited to:

• the responsibility for the accounting operations of the Village under direction of the Village Treasurer, to include the production of periodic financial reports;

- responsiblefor the financial integrity of the fiscal records of all Village funds and accounts;
- responsible for preparation and review of accounting transactions and journal entries;
- perform month-end closing and year-end closing;
- assit the Treasuer in the annual audit of the financial reports;
- respond to questions and concerns of residents;
- work closely with financial institutions concerning banking activity;
- prepare and process bi-weekly payroll;
- identify opportunities for procedure improvements;
- assist Treasurer in preparation of the annual budget;
- collaboration with accounts payable to ensure timely payments are made;
- collect and deposit all receivables;
- assist in collection of tax payments and maintain related accounts;
- assist with Human Recourses as needed.

Pay:
$68, $79,271.00 per year
