    About the Role:

    Job Title:
    Sr. Systems Engineer (Capacity Mgmt)


    Day-to-Day:
    Ascendion is looking for a Sr. Systems Engineer for an established healthcare company here in Tampa, FL.
    This resource will be working with the capacity management team, identifying capacity solutions.
    This resource will be consulting with the Kubernetes teams and Sr. Execs in order to cut costs in the cloud.

    This person does not need to come from the engineering side, but must have full understanding of Kubernetes concepts such as clusters in order to create relevant dashboards in order to relay this information to FinOps.

    Their FinOps practice is very immature, so someone from a FinOps background within capacity management would be prime.

    Essentially, they will ensure that services and infrastructure are able to deliver the agreed capacity and performance targets in a cost effective and timely manner.


    Must Haves:
    7 + years of experience as a Sr. Systems Engineer in Capacity Management
    7 + years of experience of dashboarding experience in Grafana
    7 + years of experience with BMC HCO (Helix Continuous Optimization) - a capacity mgmt tool in the cloud
    Deep understanding of FinOps in the Cloud (AWS/Azure)


    Plusses:
    Healthcare experience
    Advanced Kubernetes experience


    Location:
    Remote


    Salary Range:
    The salary for this position is between $95,000 – $105,000 annually.

    Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skill, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
