The Center for NYC Neighborhoods (the "Center") is a New York not-for-profit that promotes and protects affordable homeownership in New York so that middle- and working-class families are able to build strong, thriving communities. Working with public and private partners, the Center and its affiliates meet and support the diverse needs of homeowners throughout New York State by offering free, high-quality direct services, support of community-based housing counselors, policy research and advocacy, and affordable lending products.

    Position Summary

The Center's internal and external communications are owned and managed by our Marketing & Communications team. Along with the leads of Fundraising and Policy and Public Affairs, the Director of this team is a key member of the thought leadership team at the Center and helps drive many internal and external programs. The team manages multiple city- and state-wide brands and communications campaigns with 6-figure budgets and manages multiple key vendors. Working with the CXO, this team will lead us on an ambitious re-branding project in 2024. They own and drive our storytelling strategy, in concert with partners in executive, fundraising, policy, partnerships, and beyond. Finally, as the leading voice on homeownership issues in NYC, this department helps expand and uplift our thought leadership and expert voices on relevant issues like homeownership policy, foreclosure, flip taxes, tax liens, wealth-building, and more.

We are recruiting for our Marketing & Communications team, who handle storytelling, marketing, and communications needs for city- and state-wide programs to serve homeowners and support communities, as well as handling our internal communications needs for an organization of 100.
