I am currently working as a junior publicist at Sacks & Communications in NYC. In my current role as a junior publicist I help my team to manage the publicity campaigns of multiple recording artists by writing press releases, pitching journalists, and providing holistic reports on client news coverage. In addition to these daily responsibilities, I am also responsible for processing interview requests, coordinating interviews between journalists and artists, and monitoring the interviews. 

Prior to joining Sacks & Company I earned my master’s degree in Strategic Communication from American University. This degree extensively prepared me for a successful career in communications with a specific focus on crisis communications, social media effectiveness, and tactical marketing. The practice and deep application of these  areas helped me to perfect communications documents for internal and external publics. 

Before deciding to pursue higher education, I worked as an Associate Media Planner at HealixGlobal, and received an external promotion to Media Planner at Publicis Health Media. Working as a Media Planner was a great foundation for working at Warner Media as a publicity coordinator. My daily responsibilities included leading partner statuses, initiating quick optimizations within the campaign, and communicating partner requests to the clients, all of which are transferrable skills for acting as a coordinator. In addition to leading campaigns, I was also the main point of contact for all of the contracted partners and was responsible for reaching out to new partners at the client’s request. This role perfected my outreach skills, allowing me to sufficiently and strategically communicate information to partners in a timely manner while also maintaining positive relationships. My ability to manage multiple relationships with partners will help me to establish and maintain relationships across different channels for Warner Media’s promotional campaigns, and ensure prime press coverage for their events. 

I have additionally participated in numerous extracurricular activities that have furthered my leadership capabilities. As President of Lehigh University’s Colleges Against Cancer, I spent my senior year leading a large team, and intricately planning Lehigh’s Relay for Life. Through my efforts, I won an award for raising $110,000, and also developed useful organizational skills that I learned from managing a large team. Throughout the year I consistently hosted campus-wide events that forced me to develop strong public speaking skills despite giving prepared speeches or improvised speeches. I frequently collaborated with my executive members to develop new ideas to help us achieve our goal, while also spending a significant amount of time working independently on small projects and creative ways to attract a wide variety of Lehigh students. This position allowed me to develop great skills in multitasking, while also remaining thorough with every task. 

I am confident that my strong writing skills developed from my competitive bachelor’s degree in International Relations, and master’s degree in Strategic Communications will make me an excellent addition to this team.
