We have a role in Sterling, VA for an experienced Long Distance Dispatcher


A
Long Distance Dispatcheryou will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our long distance moving services.


Compensation & Benefits:

$55,000 -$70,000 first year. Salary position

Duties & Responsibilities of Role:


  • Creating daily work schedules for drivers and crew members
  • Assigning responsibilities for each job
  • Dispatching crews based on service standards and specific job requirements
  • Ensuring crews meet start times for each job
  • Ensuring employees dispatched meet company uniform standards
  • Reviewing dispatch sheets for equipment and manpower utilization
  • Monitoring jobs to meet operational timelines and goals
  • Communicating deficiencies to crew members within 24 hours
  • Enforcing company policies and procedures for warehouse and moving personnel
  • Assisting with recruiting, hiring, training, and evaluating crew and CDL drivers
  • Maintaining operational safety and other standards
  • Maintaining standard employee files for all operations employees
  • Performing additional duties and tasks as assigned by management

Requirements:


  • MUST have Moving Industry Experience
  • At least 2 years of Long distance dispatching
  • MUST understand DOT and ICC (Interstate Commerce Commission) laws
  • Ability to communicate with other vendors to coordinate successful projects for customers.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong problemsolving skills.
  • Confidence, patience, politeness, tact, and diplomacy, especially when dealing with challenging situations.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fastpaced, autonomous environment with consistently highquality results is necessary
  • Must successfully pass a criminal background investigation and preemployment drug test.

Pay:
$55, $70,000.00 per year

  • Moving: 1 year (preferred)
  • Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
  • Dispatching: 2 years (required)

Ability to Commute:

  • Sterling, VA preferred)

Ability to Relocate:

  • Sterling, VA 20166: Relocate before starting work (required)
