Parking Attendant




QUICK SUMMARY:

We are looking for part-time parking attendants with parking industry experience to join our event parking lot for the all events at the United Center Arena.

Pay is $20/hr of roughly - 7 hours with bonus pay. Ideal for a second job or students.

Overview_


The selected parking attendant will be responsible for ticket disbursement, facilitating entry/exit of vehicles, directing customers to parking spots and monitoring and maintaining the cleanliness of parking areas.

Depending on the needs of the location, the attendant is responsible for greeting and location knowledge such as nearby social locations.

The attendant will work closely with fellow team members, the operations manager and/or the shift supervisor.

Qualifications_

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Must have a valid Texas driver's license. (If you are an outofstate college student, you must have a valid license in your state of residence)
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • At least 2 years of customer service experience preferred
  • Sales/parking industry/retail experience is preferred
  • Ability to pass a preemployment including a drug and criminal background check
  • The ability to work Early day/LATE NIGHT/flexible hours including holidays and weekends
  • GAME DAYS
  • Possess basic mathematical skills and aptitude
  • Ability to stand on your feet for extended periods of time (usual shifts range 39 hours)
  • Possess an outgoing and enthusiastic personality
  • Demonstrates active listening, quick problemsolving skills and proves the ability to pay attention to details
  • Ability to deal with customer situations, complaints, and then can proceed to resolve customer issues and/or complaints in a professional and nonconfrontational manner

Responsibilities_

  • Conduct ticket sale transactions with customers
  • Count and match the sales/parking receipts with the supporting documentation and submit it to the lot supervisor at the end of their shift for review
  • Keep parking areas clean and orderly and patrol parking areas to prevent vehicle damage or property theft
  • Direct motorists to parking areas or parking spaces, using hand signals or flashlights as necessary
  • Perform vehicle counts, when required, to ensure garage does not overfill available spaces
  • Control traffic at entrances and exits as needed. Provide assistance to customers who have forgotten where they have parked
  • Lift equipment up to 15lb to open or close parking areas as necessary
