The Job:


  • The
    Department of Public Health, Clinic Operations Division is seeking a
    Project Coordinator Dental Services to plan, develop, organize, direct and manage projects within the Dental Services program. Duties include analyzing clinical data to produce reports to examine utilization of services, gaps in service delivery and expansion of dental services; select, train, evaluate, and supervise a small staff; oversees selection processes; direct the daytoday activities required to keep projects on target; define project scope, objectives, and goals; conduct needs assessments and develop project plans and timelines; research, analyze data and prepare recommendations regarding quality improvement projects to Clinic Operations leadership; establish and maintain a system for tracking project activities, expenditures, contract requirements and maintenance, grant requirements, progress, and outcomes; monitor and provide status updates on projects; perform quality improvement and quality assurance activities to evaluate patient visits and cost analysis; work with vendors to secure clinic supplies; participate in meetings; and serve as a liaison with county departments and divisions, community stakeholders, other local jurisdictions, and members of the public.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

Pre-Employment Process:

Prior to appointment, applicants must pass a background investigation which includes verification of employment history and education, fingerprinting, physical exam, and drug screening.


Travel:
Travel throughout the County and State may be required.

Employees will be required to make provisions for local transportation; travel throughout the State will be at the provision of the employer.

Mileage reimbursement is available.

At the time of hire, a valid California Class C driver license and proof of automobile liability insurance must be produced and maintained throughout employment.


Minimum Requirements:


Applicants must meet one
the following options:


Option 1:


Education:

A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, in public, business or health administration; nursing; social work; epidemiology; health science; or a closely related field.


-AND-

Experience:
One (1) year of full-time equivalent experience in a dental clinical practice performing project operations management experience in which the
_primary responsibility_ includes oversight and coordination of projects, defining project scope, and developing and meeting project timelines


Option 2:


Education:

Thirty (30) semester or forty-five (45) quarter units of completed college coursework from an accredited college or university, in public, business or health administration; nursing; social work; epidemiology; health science; or a closely related field.

AND-

Experience:

Three (3) year of full-time equivalent experience in a dental clinical practice performing project operations management experience in which the
_primary responsibility_ includes oversight and coordination of projects, defining project scope, and developing and meeting project timelines.
