Associate Fabrication Specialists (Level B)
to support IRCSC Team
in Ladson
, South Carolina on
Variable Shift


As an Associate Fabrication Specialist B you will work within a manufacturing assembly environment by drawing on knowledge acquired from training and certification classes to complete your daily assigned work.

By interpreting drawings and reading/comprehending work instructions you will be responsible for identifying your work (task) location in the area you are assigned/part/tooling and identifying all required hand tools, parts and equipment to accomplish a defect-free work in a safe environment.


Position Responsibilities:


  • Performs machine setup, machining, welding setup, welding, sheet metal fabrication and extrusion, tube bending and fabrication tasks. Performs composite layup, fabrication and assembly tasks.
  • Assembles precision mechanical and electromechanical components.
  • Assembles, repairs, modifies and installs various power plants and drive trains.
  • Perform soldering on electronic and avionics products.
  • Assembles and installs wire harnesses and avionics products.
  • Prepares test articles, fixtures and data collection devices to perform various tests.
  • Performs basic organic chemical conversion and paint preparation.
  • Applies routine organic coatings for corrosion protection and appearance requirements.
  • Works on articles of limited complexity following established drawings and requirements.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):

  • Ability to work any shift, week days, week nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
  • 1+ years of experience in Aerospace, Fabrication, or Manufacturing.
  • 1+ years of experience working in a flexible and highly adaptive environment.
  • Being able to lift up to 35 lbs., Frequent lifting up to 10 lbs., Occasional carrying, lifting, pushing/pulling, walking, standing, balancing, frequent reaching overhead and at or above shoulder, frequent sitting.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):

  • 1+ years of experience utilizing and following detailed work instructions, reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications, in English.
  • Experience with carbon fiber or fiberglass.
  • Ability to work with hazardous chemicals

Typical Education/Experience:


High school diploma or GED and typically 1 or more years' related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

This position is for variable shift.


Variable shift means you will be placed on a shift at the time of hire based on business needs at that time.

You will remain on that shift until re-evaluation of the need and potentially placed on a different shift based on the business needs.

Summary pay range:
$50,600- $54,450
