- Provide specialized instruction and support to students with mild to moderate disabilities.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students in the 5th grade caseload.
- Deliver direct instruction to students in various academic subjects, including math, reading, writing, and social skills.
- Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed to ensure academic growth and success.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Attend and actively participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings.
- Develop and monitor IEP goals to address students' academic, social, and behavioral needs.
- Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) in Special Education in Illinois.
- Elementary School Certification.
- Experience working with students with mild to moderate disabilities preferred.
- Strong understanding of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Ability to develop rapport and build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
