ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Provides for a secure environment.
  • Performs security duties either at a fixed post, or while making rounds of health center buildings and grounds.
  • Checks for unauthorized persons, general security violations and fire or safety hazards.
  • Reports all problems and emergencies to immediate supervisor, and documents security incidents with a written report and daily activity logs.
  • Screens all individuals entering the facilities to ensure that they have a business purpose to be in the building.
  • Checks ID badges and ensures that employees wear badges as required.
  • Confirms that all vendors and contractors are authorized to be on the property and have been signed in.
  • Ensures that all visitors comply with the QCHC'S rules and regulations.
  • Escorts all unauthorized persons from the health center building.
  • Provides security escorts to employees, patients, patient family and visitors.
  • Completes a security escort assignment throughout the QCHC's procedures as directed by the Security Supervisor or Operations Manager.
  • Notifies Security Supervisor when directly requested to escort by any personnel.
  • Provides escort with service and friendly demeanor to reinforce comfort level.
  • Responds immediately to all routine and emergency calls as directed by Call Center, Medical Director, Office Manager or Security Supervisor.
  • Responds promptly to all routine security calls, and notifies Base of outcome.
  • Acts as a member of the Safety Committee during fire drills and alarms.
  • Participates as directed in all Emergency Preparedness Events.
  • Respond quickly and calmly where individuals may be exhibiting negative or threatening behavior.
  • Able to deal with confrontational problems by using good conflict resolution skills

  • Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective security operations for the protection of people, data, and property.
  • Skill giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
  • Skill monitoring/assessing performance of yourself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action.

  • Skill enforcing rules and regulations in difficult situations and maintain the confidentiality of patient records and organizational information.

  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively to ensure that all customer's needs are being met in a timely manner.
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent customer interaction, collaboration, presentation, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and manage and prioritize multiple, often competing, priorities.
  • Ability to adhere to all time and attendance rules and requirements, and rotate between sites and shifts.
  • Ability to comply with all QCHC rules and regulations.

EDUCATION:


  • High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited school.

EXPERIENCE

  • One (1) year of experience working providing security services in a midsize company.
  • One (1) year of experience using Microsoft Office; specifically, Outlook and Word.

Clinical Credentialing:
New hires must complete the credentialing process specific to your role. This process may include background checks, reference checks, and verification of your professional qualifications, licenses, and certifications.


Vaccination Requirements:
New hires must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and provide evidence of full vaccination by your start date. Request for a covid vaccination exemption for valid religious and medical reasons will be considered. Clinical new hires must also produce titers.

$ $17.00 per hour
