- Manage daily pharmacy operations
- Oversee pharmacy technician functions
- Provide insight into managing inventory
- Manage medical dispensing devices used by nursing staff
- Instruct pharmacy interns in preparation for graduation or licensure
- Perform Drug Utilization Reviews (DURs) including dosage, route of administration, drug allergies, interactions, contraindications, and formulary adherence
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to plan, monitor, and evaluate drug regimens
- Document clinical activities and interventions as necessary
- Maintain pharmacy compliance with medication storage and security protocols
- Perform admixtures and compounding per USP 795, 797, and 800 requirements
- Maintain pharmacy records and registries
- Plan, implement, and maintain procedures for mixing, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to offer specialized patient services
- Participate in health promotion and prevention activities within the community
- Aid in ordering pharmaceutical and medical supplies to maintain inventory
- Analytical thinking for interpreting drug interaction screening
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations
- Proficient in verbal communication, including medical terminology
- Ability to exercise sound judgment
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
- Graduated from an accredited College of Pharmacy
- Current Pharmacist license
- Hospital experience or completion of PGY1, 2+ preferred
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Prolonged periods of standing and bending
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds at times
- Repetitive movements
