Material Handler in Windsor Locks, CT

The Chemical Management Services (CMS) Material Handler will work onsite at a PPG Customer facility.

Location: 1 Hamilton Road, Windsor Locks, CT 06096

Starting Pay - $26.00**
1st Shift/ 7:00 am - 3:30 pm / Monday - Friday, Overtime as needed.

Primary Responsibilities

This material handling position supports PPG's Chemical Management Services (CMS).
In this role you'll be reporting daily to our customer site(s) in Windsor Locks, CT area.
Inventory RFID scanning, unloading, sorting and replenishment to customer point of use locations are the primary focus.
Adhere to workplace safety procedures and support efforts to report near miss incidences to improve safety.
Operate industrial material handling vehicles (i.e. Taylor Dunn Carts), pallet jacks and push carts around a large in door facility.
Requires the ability work alone as well as part of a team.
You will be required to wear company provided PPE (i.e. safety shoes and glasses), uniform, lift material in varying sizes and weights (normally >50lbs.) and be able to walk for much of the day.

Qualifications

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a consistent basis throughout the day.
Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is preferred.
Ability to work holidays and overtime as needed.
Ability to work first or second shift.
