Vetted Relief Veterinary Technician


Are you passionate about animal welfare and providing top-notch care to our furry friends? We're seeking a compassionate and skilled Relief Veterinary Technician to join our team on a flexible basis.

In joining our relief team, you'll be the first point of contact when we need additional coverage at a Vetted location in your area.


What you'll do:

Patient Care: Provide gentle and attentive care to animals under our supervision. This includes administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with medical procedures under the direction of the veterinarian.

Client Communication: Communicate effectively with pet owners, offering support, education, and reassurance about their pet's health and treatment plan. Answer inquiries regarding medications and future booking.

Diagnostic Support: Aid in collecting lab samples and prepping them for submission.

Record Keeping: Add notation for electronic medical records, including patient histories, treatment plans, and client communications.

Facilities Management:Complete a short list of daily cleaning tasks.


Who we're looking for:


  • At least 2 years of experience working in a veterinary clinic or hospital setting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate and empathetic approach to animal care.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fastpaced environment.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and veterinary practices.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including occasional evenings or weekends.
  • Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) or equivalent qualification
    preferred.

What We Pay:

Pay rate is dependent on experience and certifications. Starting rate is $18 an hour.
