FLSA Status:
This position is NON-EXEMPT in relation to the pay provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act. Normal agency business hours are 9:00am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday, with flex hours available.

If working hours extend beyond normal business hours, compensation will follow Wage and Hour guidelines established under the Fair Labor Standards Act as identified in Change, Inc.

Purpose


The Homecare Compliance Coordinator is responsible for ensuring accurate information withing our Santrax/Sandata system for a proper payroll and billing submission.

Working closely together with the Operations Department / Care Coordination (scheduling) and all other Change, Inc.

administration; the Homecare Compliance Coordinator is responsible to maintain a clear communication about DSS compliance requirements to all administrative employees, and process and procedures overseen by the finance department.


Essential Functions

  • Serves as the Administrations Billing/Scheduling System Expert.
  • Regularly scans/scrubs our portals and/or databases for accurate and updated service orders/ authorization information.
  • Responsible for the Authorization Review Report (ARR) updates and communications.
  • Communicates directly with care managers/community support clinicians for inaccuracies or delays in service orders/authorizations.
  • Produces a weekly/monthly agency wide Financial Reports which encompasses departmental utilization, advance utilization, CT State Compliance results, and various other measurable data items.
  • Tracks and monitors billing and financial errors and inaccuracies within Change Inc and its affiliates.
  • Maintains universal knowledge and functionality with other Finance teammates within the department to ensure interchangeability.
  • Conducts billing reconciliations upon receipt of Explanation of Benefits/Remittance Advices.
  • Presents findings of missed billable inputs, denied/partial payments, or other billing related items/errors directly to the Director of Finance in a timely manner.
  • Provide training to other departments for procedures overseen by the finance department including time and attendance/Santrax.
  • Draft policies for compliance and procedures overseen by the finance department.
  • Perform system audits to confirm processes are working as intended.
  • Other duties and/or projects as assigned by the Director of Finance.

Requirements:

Must possess the ability to make independent decisions, follow instructions, and accept constructive criticism. Must be able to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public. Must be able to work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and potentially hostile people within the facility. Must have exceptional communication skills for interaction with supervisors, employees, residents, and families.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor?s Degree preferred
  • Customer service experience
  • Knowledge of health care industry preferred
  • Familiar with Sandata system
