Basic Job Functions:

Manage development and tracking of Operations' policies and procedures. Coordinate with Operations Supervisor(s) to develop policies and procedures that enable success through simplicity and clarity. Coordinate with Operations Supervisor(s) to design training and drilling to maintain operational readiness of the team.

Audit Operations team adherence to and performance of policy and procedure and report deficiencies to Operations Supervisor(s) and Operations Director.

Work in close cross functional relationships with Program Managers in other areas to ensure individual area programs are compatible and complimentary.


Experience:


  • 5+ years of experience in operations of power plants (nuclear, fossil fuel, or renewable). Or, other similar operations environments.
  • 3+ years experience as a power plant Operations Program Manager or other similar role responsible for development, review, and intraorganizational coordination of technical operating policies and procedures.
  • Experience in solar or other variable energy renewable generation is desired.

Required Skills:


  • Operations management
  • Process Design
  • Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis or similar
  • Demonstrated ability to work crossfunctionally with various teams (operations, maintenance, safety, etc.)
  • Analytical and reporting skills
  • Working knowledge of electrical or mechanical power systems and equipment (preference for solar equipment)
  • Ability to take direction, identify problems, develop solutions independently and in collaboration with others
  • Proficient in the use of all Microsoft Office Suite programs

Education:


  • Bachelor's degree in process engineering, power plant/distribution systems engineering, or related engineering discipline. A 2year technical degree with additional applicable experience will also be considered.
  • Formal training in Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis is highly desirable.
  • Formal training in project or program management is desirable.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:


  • Craft processes and procedures for critical and technical operations
  • Work with Operations Supervisor(s) to develop, implement, and adapt policies and procedures iteratively.
  • Continually reassess operations programs for risks (PFMEA) and develop solutions for mitigating those risks.
  • Craft training and drilling programs to ensure operator readiness.
  • Track compliance with training, testing, and drilling programs.
  • Coordinate programs with intracompany teams.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Office Physical Requirements:
