The German Railway is one of the most diverse employers in Germany.

Every year, we are looking for over 5,000 apprentices in 50 different professions who want to grow and improve with us.

We are currently seeking candidates for a 2-year apprenticeship as a Train Traffic Controller (m/f/d) at our location in Karlsruhe, with the vocational school located in Ettlingen.

After completing the apprenticeship, there will be a 6-month practical training at DB InfraGO AG, followed by a 2-year further qualification as a Specialist for Railway Operations at DB Training GmbH.

During the apprenticeship, you will be working in one of the many control centers of the railway (called "signal box") and will learn the following tasks: monitoring and controlling train traffic with technical support, such as screens or display boards, ensuring that trains take the correct route, deciding when trains should stop, go or overtake, operating and setting switches and signals, and communicating with train drivers via radio to inform them of any changes.

Your goal is to ensure safe and smooth train traffic.
