Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of patients with rheumatic diseases, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients, including medication management, lifestyle modifications, and patient education.
• Perform joint injections and other procedures as necessary, ensuring proper technique and patient comfort.
• Collaborate with the rheumatology team, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to coordinate patient care and optimize treatment outcomes.
• Provide support and education to patients and their families regarding the management of rheumatic diseases, including medication administration, self-care strategies, and symptom management.
• Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes and quality of life.
• Document patient encounters and maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
• Stay current with advances in rheumatology research and treatment modalities, participating in continuing education activities and professional development opportunities.
• Collaborate with community resources and support groups to enhance patient care and promote community awareness of rheumatic diseases.

Qualifications:

• Valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Arizona
• Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner, in Rheumatology.
• Excellent clinical skills, including the ability to perform joint injections and other procedures.
• Strong knowledge of rheumatic diseases, diagnostic procedures, and treatment options.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team and effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Proficient in using electronic medical record systems and other healthcare technology.
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care, with a commitment to delivering high-quality, evidence-based practice.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment.
