Job Summary:


The HOA Specialist plays a crucial role in managing relationships with homeowners associations, assisting in the administration of HOA operations, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.

This role requires excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.


Key Responsibilities:


  • HOA Administration:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for homeowners associations, addressing inquiries, requests, and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist in the administration of HOA operations, including board meetings, elections, budgeting, and rule enforcement.
  • Community Management:
  • Collaborate with community managers to oversee the daytoday management of HOA properties, ensuring adherence to HOA rules and regulations.
  • Coordinate maintenance, repairs, and improvements within HOA communities, liaising with vendors, contractors, and residents as needed.
  • Compliance and Governance:
  • Ensure compliance with HOA governing documents, state laws, and regulations, providing guidance and support to board members and residents.
  • Assist in the preparation and distribution of HOA newsletters, notices, and communications to keep residents informed about community news and updates.
  • Financial Management:
  • Support HOA financial management processes, including budget development, assessment collection, and financial reporting.
  • Assist in reviewing financial statements, invoices, and expenses to ensure accuracy and transparency in financial operations.
  • Conflict Resolution:
  • Facilitate conflict resolution and dispute resolution processes within HOA communities, working collaboratively with board members and residents to address concerns and resolve issues.
  • Documentation and Recordkeeping:
  • Maintain accurate and uptodate records of HOA activities, meetings, decisions, and correspondence, ensuring compliance with recordkeeping requirements.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, real estate, property management, or a related field preferred.
  • 3 years of experience in HOA management, property management, or related roles, with a solid understanding of HOA regulations and governance.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills, with the ability to effectively interact with board members, residents, and external stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fastpaced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and property management software platforms.
  • Knowledge of relevant state laws and regulations governing HOAs is preferred.
  • Bilingual preferred
