  • Perform plant and gathering system allocations and contractual settlements for midstream assets.
  • Record revenues and cost of product related to assigned midstream assets.
  • Review contracts to be sure all revenues and costs are being accounted for correctly.
  • Responsibility for Imbalance activities
:


  • Track monthly imbalances by validating measurement volumes against scheduled volumes and against third party pipeline
statements.

  • Prepare makeup decimal allocations based on imbalances and import into accounting system.
  • Coordinate with Division Order (DO) team on ownership changes
  • Ensure updates are processed timely through gas available for sale and balancing decimals.
  • Wellhead imbalance settlement coordination
  • Complete valuations for P&A wells and/or ad hoc settlements. Coordinate with teams on tax and royalty Interest impacts. Leveraging imbalances for A&D activities.
  • Research and respond to partner inquiries. Prepare and analyze monthly pipeline volume imports.

Prepare various monthly plant settlement, imbalance statements, operator statements, wellhead imbalance statements, gas available for sale reports, nomination allocations, and other miscellaneous reports.


  • Maintain residue gas marketing system, including contract terms, customer database, pricing, invoicing, volume reconciliations, and reporting.
  • Prepare monthly accruals, journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Reconcile shipper accounts receivable and work with customers to resolve outstanding payments.
  • Coordinate with Production, Operations, Revenue, and DO teams to ensure proper allocation of volumes from wellhead to market.
  • Coordinate with and assist as needed the Commercial Marketing department for working interest owners marketing arrangements and inquiries
  • Distributing marketing letters, tracking changes to marketing, responding to owner inquiries regarding marketing arrangements.
  • Actively participate in system setups, maintenance, and upgrade testing.
  • Assist with internal and external customer and auditor inquiries.

Requirements:


  • 5 years or more of accounting and midstream experience.
  • 35 years experience in the oil and gas industry.
  • Revenue, Regulatory, Production, or Gas Plant Accounting experience desired.
  • Experience with W Energy, COGNOS reporting a plus.
  • Experience working in a growing start up environment strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or business required.
  • Flexibility to grow and change with company needs.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite plus advanced Excel expertise desired; PowerBI experience a plus.
