    JOB DESCRIPTION – SHIPPING AND RECEIVING TEAM LEADER

    Summary/Objective

    Working directly with the entire team, the Shipping and Receiving Team Leader is responsible for insuring customer orders are processed accurately, on time and packaged in manner that minimizes damage. The Shipping and Receiving Team Leader is also responsible for receiving and moving raw materials and other supplies to the location where they are stored until used.

    Essential Job Functions

    · Collaborate and communicate with customer service team members, production personnel and others who are involved in the shipment and receipt of products, raw materials, and supplies

    · Possess an organized approach to ensure customer orders are processed accurately, on time and packaged in manner that minimizes damage

    · Upload distros into small package carrier systems to obtain shipping labels prior to the distro being packaged, and arrange LTL shipments and local deliveries when necessary

    · Promptly load and unload trucks and move received raw materials and other supplies to the location where they are stored until used

    · Maintain an accurate inventory of raw materials and other supplies used in the shipping department, and work with purchasing to maintain a sufficient inventory on hand

    · Provide backup support to the shipping department, including performing handwork and kitting on large distros when needed

    · Engage with vendors and drivers with a positive attitude, and maintain a clean and neat work area

    · Drive continuous process improvements

    · Other duties as assigned

    Required Education and Experience

    · High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

    · 2+ years of related experience preferred

    · Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred

    · Must know basic computer skills

    · Knowledge of Excel and UPS/FedEx/DHL Software preferred

    · Must be trustworthy and reliable

    · Must be able to lift and carry 45 pounds
