- Supervise students assigned to In-School Suspension (ISS).
- Monitor assigned students' behavior.
- Furnish assigned students appropriate work based on factors such as a mix of classes and IEPs.
- Tutor students as indicated.
- Work in collaboration with teachers
- Maintain a log of served students.
- May contact parents under the directives of the Principal.
- Meet/conference with parents as assigned by the Principal.
- Collect student work.
- Prepare and maintain a file for each student.

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Will work with students, teachers, and parents to reduce the number of suspensions, expulsions, and exclusions of students by performing the following duties.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Sixty semester hours; or an Associates Degree or higher; or successfully pass the ParaProfessional Assessment Exam. Ability to work with various software programs, including but not limited to Microsoft Word and Excel.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
None.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.? Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one, small group, and large group situations.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.? Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but written or oral instructions.? Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
