Cloud Computing Analyst

Summary:


The AI and Cloud Engineering and Enablement group is part of the Global Information Technology Core Services organization providing innovative technical solutions across the enterprise and research." This position reports to the Senior Director of Cloud Engineering and will work closely with the Director of Cloud Infrastructure Engineering.

They will be responsible for data collection, analysis, visualization, and process automation, among other work. Cloud Infrastructure includ es network integration, firewalls, performance analysis, resiliency, and security automation across multiple cloud platforms.

Roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Ensure frictionless access to our cloud services while maintaining security and data protection
  • Enable DevOps teams, COTS vendors, and power users to utilize the services we provide
  • Provide specialized and differentiated services to organizations as needed
  • Provide support enabling development communities and other teams to realize the full benefits of cloud services
  • Support and evangelize the DevOps delivery model and Agile project delivery methodology
  • Instill amongst our consumers a sense of ownership and responsibility for the services they create/ use

You will:

  • Develop ownership of operations, build outs, new capa b ilities, and build skills in cloud networking, DNS, cloud security, IaC, monitoring, and automation across a broad set of cloud services
  • Support the global cloud network and firewalls
  • Collaborate and partner with internal stakeholders on deployment resiliency and compliance
  • Interface with clients as a SME as it relates to cloud infrastructure, compliance, and security
  • Develop KPIs and utilize metrics to assure service functionality, reliability, and compliance
  • Provide day to day support for the governance, management, and coordination of activities related to cloud infrastructure

Skills/Knowledge Required:

  • Demonstrated basic knowledge of infrastructure components ( e.g. cloud platform s such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, containerization, compute, storage, IP v4 & IP v6, r outing, firewalls )
  • Programming skills such as Python, Bash, Rust, Go, PowerShell
  • Basic Linux system skill s and use of utilities such as cron, systemd, sed, awk, grep, regex
  • Be c ompliance focused and results driven
  • Able to w ork with a high level of independence and research solutions
  • Good organizational, analytical, and planning skills when handling multiple projects and dependencies
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Additional Qualifications & S kills:

  • Preferred: Bachelor of Science level technical degree
  • Computer Science, Engineering, or commensurate experience "
  • Certifications, internships, or training relative to position and future career goals
  • Familiarity with source code control techniques such as git or subversion
