    Description

    Job Title:

    Plumbing Assistant*Job Description
    Seeking a dedicated Plumbing Assistant with at least 6 months of experience or familiarity in plumbing, electrical, or construction labor.

    The role includes assisting licensed journeyman technicians with new installation piping and heating and cooling units in residential, multi-family, and light industrial buildings.

    Responsibilities include delivery, installation, troubleshooting of pipes and equipment, power vacuuming of pipes, cleaning up job sites, and lifting/moving units as necessary.

    Candidates must be comfortable with physical activities such as bending, crouching, kneeling, and lifting over 100 lbs with assistance.Hard Skills
    + Knowledge of tools such as Impact Drill, Sawzaw, Wire Strippers, lighted level, Phillips and flat screwdriver, 8 oz hammer, drywall saw, 1⁄4 malco bit, 4'' bit adapter for impact drill, headlamp or flashlight, channel locks+ Experience in plumbing, construction installation, skilled trades, blueprint reading+ Mechanical aptitude+ Ability to use impact driver and basic hand toolsSoft Skills
    + Team-oriented+ Ability to work long hours and on-call shifts every 6 weeksJob Type
    This is a permanent position.Work Site
    This is a fully on-site position in Ankeny, Iowa.Work Environment
    Team-oriented environment.

    This is a busy role requiring flexibility to work M-F from 7 AM to approximately 5 PM, with potential for over 60 hours per week due to new projects.

    The position involves pairing up with a journeyman, starting the day either on the job site or at the shop.

    Dress code includes jeans, work boots, and a company-provided t-shirt. Must possess basic hand tools.
