Job Overview:
Summary:
Create and implement systems to support communication, data management, and operations of the synagogue. Provide administrative support for the clergy, religious school, Administrative Director, congregants, board, and committee members.
Accountable to:
The Administrative Director, Rabbi, and President on a day-to-day basis. A performance review will be conducted annually.
Duties include (but are not limited to):
- Schedule and maintain an accessible calendar of events and religious activities.
- Handle outgoing correspondence.
- Assistant to the Rabbi and Temple Educator as needed.
- Provide administrative support to efforts and projects of board, committees, volunteers, and professional staff
- Prepare the weekly Shabbat announcements and Yahrzeit lists
- Collect and edit articles for and publishing and distributing the monthly newsletter, The Shofar
Pay:
$44, $52,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
Experience:
- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
Ability to Commute:
- Madison, CT required)
Ability to Relocate:
- Madison, CT 06443: Relocate before starting work (required)
