    The Job:

    Join Tanium as a Software Engineering Intern and immerse yourself in the world of building security-focused B2B applications. As an intern, you'll be paired with a senior engineer mentor and a fellow intern for guidance as you dive into developing new features for Tanium's platform. A great opportunity not just to code but to network and be part of a vibrant community of developers at Tanium.

    Some of the cool projects past interns have worked on:

    • A tool to visualize Tanium's roles and privileges
    • Predicting questions for Tanium's natural language parser
    • Creating a module to monitor application health

    This hybrid role is based in Tanium's offices in Emeryville, CA, or Morrisville, NC. While offering an hourly rate of $60.00, the final rate may vary based on your education, skills, and experience. On top of the pay, interns can also benefit from a housing stipend, 401k matching, and communication reimbursement.

    Your Responsibilities:

    Once onboard, you will be assigned to either a frontend or backend team, depending on your preference and our ongoing projects. Gain hands-on experience developing software in a real-world security setting, work closely with mentors, and build a project that will enhance your resume. Showcase your work at the end of the internship and get visibility among the engineering leadership. Engage in intern activities and connect with a large intern community.

    We are looking for someone who:

    • Is legally eligible to work in the U.S.
    • Can commit full-time during the specified period
    • Is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field with a GPA of 3.5 or above
    • Has experience in backend and/or frontend development
    • Is eager to learn new technical skills
    • Has a passion for technology and software
    • Is a strong communicator and a team player
    • While having a past internship would be a plus, it is not mandatory
