**Job Description**

**AECOM** is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern to be based in **Oakland, California** .

_This position is expected to begin in May 2024._

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

+ Performs a variety of assignments designed to develop professional work knowledge and abilities, requiring application of standard techniques, procedures and criteria in carrying out tasks.

+ Limited exercise of judgment is required on details of work and in making preliminary selections and adaptations of science alternatives.

**Qualifications**

**Minimum Requirements:**

+ Candidates must be currently enrolled in a university program pursuing a Bachelors Degree or higher in Civil Engineering with the intent to continue after the internship, unless graduating.

+ Candidates must have completed one year of study in their program.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

+ Basic knowledge of CADD and industry standard computer software for the position (examples include software such as AutoCAD and MicroStation).

+ Strong organizational, technical, and communication skills.

+ Ability to work independently and within a team environment.

**Additional Information**

+ Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $23.23/hour - $31.94/hour.
