    The Manager is a service excellence driver of Vincentian's Community Life department. The candidate will manage daily operations of the department while implementing engaging intergenerational programs and spaces (intentional and organic) for residents, children, students, families, staff and visitors within the personal care, independent living, or skilled service lines. The manager will also cultivate academic partnerships, community collaborations, and design creative arts programming. The candidate must be highly dynamic, committed to excellence, and passionate about creating memorable experiences.

    The Manager must be devoted to delivering the highest quality of services with the goal of sustaining independence, encouraging an active, healthy, and engaging lifestyle, and the eight dimensions of wellness to ensure programmatic success. Candidates will be technology-savvy, with an interest in researching and identifying technology-based solutions for individual and community engagement and process improvement.

    Essential Responsibilities:

    • Incorporate the eight dimensions of wellness and intergenerational practices into all experiences.

    The Manager must demonstrate enthusiasm and passion for community connections, development, and innovative solutions. This humble and approachable leader will educate stakeholders on the intergenerational model and its benefits – generating support and connections for the community's needs.

    Eight Dimensions of Wellness: Emotional, Environmental, Financial, Social, Physical, Spiritual, Occupational, and Intellectual.

    Other Responsibilities:

    1. Plans, designs and executes memorable programs, experiences and activities that encourage socialization, foster social, emotional, spiritual, intellectual, sensory, and physical enrichment and promotes lifelong learning amongst our residents
    2. Provides and drives the planning, implementing, and evaluating all programming, processes, and delivery of service excellence that aligns with organizational strategy and mission
    3. Responsible for providing five-star quality, superior service and extraordinary responsiveness as perceived by our residents and families, ensuring resident satisfaction levels are achieved, while cultivating meaningful relationships and connections
    4. Manages the daily operations and tasks related to the Community Life department.
    5. Operates independently, demonstrates superior attention to detail, and shows compassion with all interactions and decision-making.
    6. Develops standards and procedures for effective program/event planning and community amenities. This includes budgeting, promotional materials, event plans, collaboration with support departments, services and entertainment information, supply ordering, set up and clean up, scheduling and hosting standards for all involved.
    7. Creates and completes reports identifying Key Performance Indicators that will be used to measure the success of programs.
    8. Serves as knowledge expert and primary contact for smart technology platform (K4Connect). Assists residents with optimal utilization and questions related to responsive home, health and community products. Provides guidance in software and hardware evaluation and troubleshoot issues if possible
    9. Work cross-functionally with other Vincentian staff to align resources, articulate services and communicate updates, progress, and concerns to proactively ensure service line success
    10. Creates community partnerships with businesses and organizations to support the service line programs and the organization.
    11. Assists with operational needs, i.e., touring potential new residents, transportation, facility management, etc.
    12. Manages staff, volunteers, students, and any other support staff as assigned.
    13. Assist in the development of departmental budget and operates department within annual set budgetary guidelines which includes but is not limited to labor, operations, inventory, revenue, and capital.
    14. Provide direct supervision of hourly employees and their adherence to all VCS policies and procedures and department standards and guidelines.
    15. Coach and discipline employees as appropriate and in partnership with People Operations and Engagement Specialist while enforcing all policies and procedures.
    16. Schedule personnel to meet operational needs and in accordance with volume and budgetary guidelines.
    17. Complete all necessary entries and approvals relating to biweekly payroll without delaying payroll process.
    18. Complete all necessary entries and approvals relating to accounts payable being sure that all invoices are paid in a timely manner and that the department in within it's budget.
    19. Contribute to the relevant and timely performance feedback to employees through the performance review process.
    20. Conduct department orientation, training and coaching of all new employees.
    21. Collaborates with People Operations in areas including recruitment, orientation, training, staff development, performance evaluation, disciplinary action and policies and procedures.
    22. Performs all other duties assigned.

    Education/Experience:

    1. Bachelor's degree with 2+ years applicable experience or associate degree with 2+ progressive experience and proven project success
    2. 2+ plus supervisory experience preferred.
    3. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
    4. Experience using a Content Management Writer is a plus.
    5. Valid Pennsylvania Driver's License

    7. Very comfortable with learning, operating and explaining technology and software systems to non-technical audience (i.e. computers, tablets, smart devices, online platforms, etc.)
    8. Not intimidated by technology and the use of applications to maintain efficient programs and daily operations
    9. Adaptable to change
    10. Willing to work a fluid schedule based on community needs that may sometimes include an evening and/or weekend

    Work Environment:

    1. Typical work is performed in a controlled climate office environment.
    2. Occasional travel between facilities is required.
