Job Summary:

The Service Delivery team engages with onshore and offshore team members, architecture, and engineering. The programs are business driven solutions that integrate with all aspects of Caterpillar. The technical project manager will provide thoughtful leadership on delivering programs that span across multiple technologies. The work is challenging, fast passed and highly visible.


What You Will Do:


  • The Project Manager is accountable for ensuring successful completion of projects, ontime, within budget, and errorfree.
  • The principal responsibility of the Project Manager is to manage the planning and execution of project team members.
  • The incumbent will be responsible for managing the project charter, communications, metrics, reporting, and the overall project plan and budget.
  • Managing the daytoday activities of projects, including overseeing project responsibilities and schedules. Developing contingency plans for potential risks.
  • Directing and motivating project team.
  • Evaluating and managing deliverables to ensure that service expectations are achievable, developed, and met. Monitoring project results for significant deviations. Ensuring adherence to quality standards and processes.

What You Will Have:

IT Project Management:Knowledge of project management; ability to plan, organize, monitor and control IT projects using appropriate technical resources.

Project Administration:Knowledge of project administration best practices and ability to use organizational strategies, practices and tools for administering projects.

Decision Making and Critical Thinking:Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.

  • Lead projects around solution architecture.
  • Experience leading enterprise software engineering projects.
  • PMP certification preferred
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) preferred
  • Knowledge of Power BI is highly desirable
  • Working knowledge Azure DevOps

This position has the option to be based out of either our Chicago, IL; Peoria, IL; or Irving, TX (Dallas) offices with a flexible hybrid work environment.
