_Essential Functions:
_


  • Prepares the patient for the physician visit.
  • Performs nursing functions related to medication, specimen collection and triage.
  • Collaborates with treatment teams to focilitate and manage services provided by psychiatrist(s).
  • Manages a caseload of "psychiatrist only" clients.
  • May take on charge nurse duties in absence of RN Charge Nurse, which may include clinical assignment of duties and clinical directions to LPN and CNA, along with oversight of routine clinic functions.
  • Maintains consumer and administrative documentation in accordance with program and agency guidelines, and Medicaid criteria.
  • Complies with client rights and confidentiality policies, licensure regulations, and Medicaid regulations as applicable.
  • Maintains a positive, professional working relationship with consumers, family members, agency staff, and community providers.

_Minimum Qualifications:
_


  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a degree as a Registered Nurse, with licensure in good standing in the state of Virginia or another acceptable compact state as a Registered Nurse.
  • Experience with Behavioral Health individuals, supervision of other staff (including RNs), conducting administrative tasks, and working in an environment with other BH professionals are preferred.
  • General office/outpatient setting duties require close contact with individuals who, infrequently, have the potential for verbal or physical aggression and the performance of tasks that have the potential for exposure to Bloodborne Pathogens.
  • Effective communication skills, orally and written.
  • Must be able to stand, squat, bend, stoop, and stretch.
  • Experience with Electronic Health Records.
  • Ability to work as a team with a record of dependability and honesty.

_Preferred Qualifications_

  • Threeyear prior experience in Behavioral Healthcare setting.
