Job Description:
Position Overview:
As a Recovery Coach at Lauren's Wish Addiction Triage Center, you will play a critical role in supporting individuals on their path to recovery from substance use disorders. You will work closely with clients to develop personalized recovery plans, provide emotional support, and connect them with necessary resources and treatment options. This role requires empathy, excellent communication skills, and a strong commitment to helping others achieve and maintain sobriety.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct intake assessments to understand clients' needs, strengths, and challenges.
Develop and implement personalized recovery plans in collaboration with clients.
Provide ongoing support and encouragement to clients throughout their recovery journey.
Assist clients in accessing treatment facilities, support groups, and other community resources.
Facilitate group sessions and educational workshops on topics related to addiction and recovery.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and documentation.
Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
Advocate for clients' needs and rights within the community and with service providers.
Participate in training and professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in addiction recovery.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications in addiction counseling or recovery coaching preferred.
Personal or professional experience with addiction recovery is highly valued.
Strong understanding of substance use disorders and the recovery process.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to build trust and rapport with clients.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Compassionate, non-judgmental, and patient demeanor.
Knowledge of local resources and treatment options for substance use disorders is a plus.
