Job description

This firm takes a modern approach to accounting, combining strong technical service with intentional systems and sustainable workloads. In an industry often known for burnout, this organization prioritizes structure, efficiency, and work-life balance.

We are partnering with a progressive, leading public accounting firm to identify a Tax Operations Administrator to support its Individual Tax practice.

This person will serve as a key operational partner to the tax team, ensuring workflow stays organized, deadlines are managed proactively, and client communication remains clear and timely.

Responsibilities:

  • Track and monitor the progress of individual tax returns across the client base
  • Maintain internal dashboards and workflow systems to ensure visibility and accountability
  • Identify potential bottlenecks and coordinate solutions before deadlines are impacted
  • Track estimated tax payments and communicate upcoming due dates to clients
  • Manage incoming tax notices and coordinate follow-up with the tax team
  • Serve as a point of contact for client questions regarding return status and payment schedules
  • Assist with onboarding clients into digital portals and internal systems
  • Schedule meetings and maintain accurate, up-to-date client records
  • Support ongoing improvements to internal processes and workflow systems

Qualifications:

  • Experience in public accounting, financial services, or a similar deadline-driven professional services environment
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple moving priorities
  • Proactive mindset with strong attention to detail
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
  • Proficiency with Excel and workflow or client management platforms
  • Process-oriented thinker who enjoys building structure and clarity
  • An accounting or Finance Degree is strongly preferred
  • Proven work experience, career longevity and solid career progression

Compensation:

  • $80,000-$100,000 (Depending on experience)
