Our solar company is in Van Nuys, California, but we work all across the Los Angeles area and Southern California.

Plug It In Solar is seeking a full-time AR/AP Accounting Clerk who shows great communication, time management and financial coordination skills, with a strong ability to strategize with others in a deadline driven environment.

• Maintain subledgers for AP, AR, and PO receipts to ensure details are correct and to prevent excessive aging.
• Contact customers to collect unpaid invoices, short payments, and unauthorized deductions.
• Enter and pay invoices from vendors and expense reports from employees.
• Create credit and debit memos
• Submit stipulations to financing companies to obtain funding on loans
• Pay commissions to sales teams upon receipt of final payment from clients
• Monthly account reconciliations
• Processing Account Receivables (AR), Accounts Payables (AP), including deposit posting, processing invoices, issuing and posting checks.
• Includes calling and/or writing customers who are late with their payments, inquiring about status of the payments, working with Customer Service Department if needed.
• Obtain W9's and create 1099's for subcontractors

• Must have at least 2 years experience with Quickbooks.
• Able to communicate complex data in a clear and concise manner.
• Competency with accounting tools
• Basic data entry skills
• Comfortable with math and calculations
• Good listening and communication skills
• Attention to details
• Strong Excel skills
• Strong reconciliation and analytical skills
• AP and AR work experience, manufacturing experience helpful
• Must have strong communication skills; interpersonal, written and verbal
• Able to complete tasks on time efficiently and effectively with mínimal supervision.
• Able to organize and prioritize work as well as multitask.
• General knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook.
