Main Functions:

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to plan and implement tailored treatment programs for patients.

Provide age-appropriate care and support to patients across various demographics.

Ensure adherence to departmental policies, safety protocols, and infection control measures.

Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with team members.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Review and evaluate patient requisitions, conducting interviews to assess physical condition and needs.

Develop and execute treatment plans, incorporating a range of therapeutic modalities and equipment.

Provide guidance and instruction to patients on exercise techniques and proper equipment usage.

Maintain departmental equipment and supplies, ensuring they are in proper working condition.

Attend educational programs and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

Must be licensed or eligible to obtain a license to practice physical therapy in NYS.

Experience in a hospital setting preferred.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire date.
