- Assists departments with ordering materials and supplies including obtaining verbal and written quotes when required by purchasing policies. Maintains communication with requestors on status of items ordered (confirming order and receipt of goods).
- Manages the ordering of food and beverage items including the management of the vendor's ordering system, verifying receipt of product in acceptable order and in agreement with vendor invoice, immediately verifies food and beverage invoices and delivers invoices to accounting for all goods received. Maintains good working relationship with vendors. Ensures that credits are received as necessary for missing or damaged goods.
- Ensures products are ordered timely and received by department deadlines.
- Receives ordered products and maintains delivery log sheets that identify the date and time of receipt, as well as the person who accepted the goods and verified that goods were inspected for completeness and for any damage.
- Continually researches vendor pricing on high volume products to ensure best pricing. Maintains vendor database for types of products ordered and current price sheets.
- Performs/assists food and beverage physical inventories on periodic and monthly basis, enters actual quantities on hand into computerized inventory system and reports variances.
- Works with the accounting department to ensure that all vendor invoices have been timely received and processed for payment.
- Maintains warehouse space in an organized manner.
- Experience with researching and ordering products from local and online vendors for a wide variety of goods, including food and beverage at highest value.
- Strong computer skills, including knowledge of computer inventory systems, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated patience, tact, and respect.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent required;
- 1 year Purchasing/Warehouse experience;
- 2 years casino and/or food industries preferred
- Regularly required to use hand-jack;
- Regularly required to stand or walk for prolonged periods of time.
- Must be able to repeatedly lift, push or pull up to 50 pounds.
