- Lead the freight team and provide guidance during sales floor merchandising, truck unload, stocking, ticketing, and backroom organization.
- Work alongside the freight team while overseeing truck unload, freight processing, merchandising metrics, and store presentation standards.
- Act as Manager on Duty, directing store associates in cashiering, customer service, recovery, and furniture-related activities.
- Collaborate with store leadership to achieve merchandising goals and enhance store performance.
- Plan and lead preparation for new merchandise, truck unload, freight flow, display assembly, ticketing, and stocking tasks.
- Provide clear direction, training, and coaching to the freight team on freight flow processes and furniture assembly.
- Analyze staffing needs based on carton counts and payroll allocation, tracking and reporting freight productivity metrics.
- Offer feedback to store leadership on the team's performance and ability to meet freight metrics.
- Responsible for stockroom organization, cleanliness, inventory transactions, and store opening/closing tasks.
- Serve as Manager on Duty when required, ensuring store standards are met, driving the customer experience, and resolving issues.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience (18 years of age minimum).
- Two years of retail management experience preferred.
- Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move items up to 50 pounds, perform various physical tasks, and work a flexible schedule.
- Basic English literacy, math, and PC skills are required.
