Job Summary


Launched in July 2020, Moonshot Compost is a Texas start-up, with operations in Austin, Dallas, Houston, and Waco, that collects and consolidates food waste for composting.


  • We're looking for a sales manager who is energetic, personable, and driven. You should enjoy meeting people and be excited to engage people about our mission to divert food waste from landfills.
  • The role will involve direct, inperson sales, operations, and location visits; the administrative portion of the role may be executed remotely.

Duties
Sales & Account Management (70%)

  • With direction and training, making outbound calls to sell company services
  • Traveling within service areas, predominantly Austin, but including at company expense Houston and Dallas, to represent the company and achieve assigned goals
  • Maintaining an accurate record of all leads, customer accounts, and sales data in Customer Relationship Management program
Account Management (20%)

  • Manage accounts assigned to you to keep accounts longterm and expand revenue, when possible
  • Analyze weight exception reports to monitor accounts that need more drums across all locations
  • Manage calendar of upcoming events for all commercial accounts
  • Manage retraining events, as necessary
General Support (10%)

  • Special projects that arise from timetotime
  • Researching and monitoring industry market conditions
  • Preparing new commercial subscriber data forms
  • Coordinating new accounts with the technology team

Skills, Qualifications, and Competencies

Skills:

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, communications, or related field is preferred
  • Pass drug screening and background check

Compensation
- $40,000 year base salary
- $40,000 additional projected commission opportunity

  • Uncapped commissions, established sales area with existing accounts and proven potential

Pay:
Up to $80,000.00 per year
