Job Summary

Responsibilities and Duties

You will work on a team of 2 or 3 employees drilling large diameter water wells for municipalities, industry or irrigation clients.

Wells range in size from screened wells 100 feet deep to deep sandstone wells nearly 2,000 feet deep ranging from 10" up to 30" in diameter.

Municipal Well & Pump services clients through Wisconsin, northern Illinois, eastern Iowa, northwestern Indiana, eastern Minnesota and the UP of Michigan.

This requires our crews to travel and stay away from home during the week if the job is more than 1 hour from Waupun, WI.

You will be driving well drilling rigs or service trucks with trailers to job sites.

Nearly all of our vehicles are consider commercial motor vehicles per USDOT which requires you to have a CDL license.

Crew members need to be flexible in their skill sets including running various construction equipment, welding, mechanical piping, equipment repairs, electrical troubleshooting, etc.

You will be expected to work in all weather conditions - cold, hot, rain, snow, wind - unless we shut down due to safety factors.

Qualifications and Skills

Expectations & Skills Required of Prospective Employee:

2 to 5 years of Water Well Drilling Experience - huge plus
:

• Stay away from home as needed (averaging approximately 90% of the work days Monday
• Friday). Home on Weekends.
• Welding Experience required (stick)
• Good physical condition able to be on your feet the majority of the day.
• Lifting able to lift 80 to 100 lbs multiple times throughout the day.
• Capable of regular bending, stooping, walking and pulling without physical pain.
• Driving Record needs to be fairly clean. No DUI's.
• Commercial Drivers License needed (or will need to be obtained shortly after hire
• MWP will cover costs).
• Fluently speak, write and understand English
• Graduated from High School
• Pass a drug and alcohol screening, medical exam & physical strength and endurance test.

Compensation

• Starting pay with CDL and Drilling Experience will be negotiated.
• Starting pay with mínimal experience and CDL $24.75 per hour.
• Expected earnings in the first year for mínimal experience will likely be $100,000+
• You will work overtime, approximately 10 to 12 hours per week.
• Some jobs pay "prevailing wage rates" based on the state and the county/city. This dramatically increases your hourly wage rate boosting overall annual pay.
