SUMMARY


The Manager, Human Resources (HRM) position supports and manages the organization's strategy and execution on employee relations & engagement, total rewards administration, performance management and career planning.

This person will need to operate as a trusted advisor using professional credibility and strong relationships with leadership to influence key priorities.

The HR Manager will use data to measure success, by analyzing trends and developing proactive actions to further support business objectives.

Because environmental and organizational conditions change rapidly, the work involves innovation and creativity in generating ideas, solutions, and deliverables.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Serve as primary Human Resources contact to all employees
  • Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR and TA teams to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
  • Coach/Mentor managers & supervisors on employee engagement and performance management best practices
  • In consultation with the Director of People Operations and business leaders, address employee corrective action and employment matters, including conducting investigations
  • Serves as neutral party to investigate employee complaints, and all other employee relation matters
  • Serves as the SME for all relevant local and state employment law where SPFC operates, as well as staying abreast of ongoing changes to employment law regulations
  • Maintains indepth knowledge of legal requirements related to daytoday management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance
  • Collaborate with management and the People Operations team with onboarding, employee movements, and offboarding, ensure successful onboarding for all employees.
  • Conducts exit interviews as needed. Analyzes reasons for leaving to increase retention efforts and recommends solutions.
  • Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Conducts regular jobsite visits to monitor morale, engagement, and retention.
  • Assist in the administration of annual performance reviews and competency evaluation processes, including set up of templates and system requirements.
  • Collaborate with managers in the identification and development of potential leaders in their teams.
  • Advise employees on S&P Total Rewards offerings
  • Lead the annual benefit plan renewal process and assist with program administration for all benefits plans including partnering with Insurance Broker, preparing necessary reports, facilitates system setup and communications to workforce.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Climb up and down from equipment and scaffolding; requires being in high places.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
  • Walking and standing for long periods of time on uneven terrain on the job site.
  • Bend, stoop, squat, and get low to the ground to view work for inspections.
  • Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
  • Drive vehicle to and from job sites, and occasionally on uneven ground on the job site.
  • Must be able to work some Saturdays and weekends, as needed.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Ability to listen to, understand, and follow directions.
  • Ability to remain flexible as specific assignments change.
  • Ability to work with a variety of personalities.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience resolving complex employee relations issues.
  • Competencies include analytical problem solving, strong communication, customer/partner relationships.
  • Excellent prioritization and organization skills with a proven ability to improve process and efficiency
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and union relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRMSCP) credential or ability to obtain certification within one year of employment

Pay:
$90, $110,000.00 per year
