    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The position of CNC Milling Machinist Technician requires a skilled individual with expertise in various machining fields. As part of a large Machining Department, the role involves CNC machining turbine engine components to meet specified dimensions for leading customers in the aerospace and marine industries. The successful candidate will collaborate with experienced machinists, offering a platform for continuous skill development and knowledge sharing. The position operates in a modern facility focusing on precision and quality.

    Component Repair Technologies (CRT) is a well-established local family-owned business based in Mentor, OH since 1985. With a dedicated team of around five hundred members, CRT specializes in repair and overhaul services for turbine engine components, serving major airlines and jet engine manufacturers globally.     RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Follow work instructions meticulously, utilizing approved tools to inspect and machine parts accurately.
    • Operate machinery to attain precise dimensions and perform finishing tasks as required.
    • Address machining issues and maintain detailed records of work.
    • Participate in training programs and provide expertise to fellow technicians.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Over five years of experience in CNC Milling operations.
    (e.g., Johnford DMC, VMC, BMC)

    a. Experience in diverse environments.

    b. Proficient in creative problem-solving for setups, programming, tooling, and fixturing.

    c. Strong grasp of GD&T principles and critical dimensioning.

    • Experience in rework processes.

    ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Educational background in technical or equivalent field.
    • Proficient in tooling setup, shop math, and trigonometry.
    • Basic understanding of CNC Macro coding.
    • Ability to communicate effectively in English.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT:

    • Pre-employment assessment may be required.
    • Adhere to safety protocols and engage in physical activities during the shift.
    • Utilize various tools and equipment as needed.
